About
Welcome! I have been playing music for 20+ years and teaching and working in the music industry for 6+ years. Writing, performing, teaching and connecting with students is the highlight of my day. I am passionate about the creativity of music, songwriting, and spreading the joy of music with others. Watching my students progress and seeing their smiles when they learn something new makes life fulfilling for me. It's always a thrill when a student learns a song they chose and are excited about. Guitar is my primary passion. I teach both acoustic, electric, and bass guitar. I also teach piano, and most wind instruments. I teach students from a personalized curriculum that focuses on their goals, and highlights musical fundamentals that prepare them for their future music career. I encourage advanced students to bring in samples and examples of their favorite songs they would like to learn, and in turn create the tablature for said songs, so they can practice as often as they would like on the music they're passionate about. A tab booklet is provided as part of my lesson package for every guitar student to utilize/practice at home.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Start with learning the basic, holding the instrument/posture/chords/notes/tabs. Then give direction on any improvements I can see each week and start scale practice. Then start with simple songs progressing into harder ones as time goes on. As soon as the student understands the basics, I encourage them to bring the music that they are interested in most, so I can then provide them with the notes/tabs to teach them any song of their choosing as this seems to bring the most enjoyment from my students.

What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with beginners, intermediate, young children, and advanced musicians of all ages.
