You consider may not yourself 'creative', but I believe that creativity is nutured and grown by learning technique.
Everyone can learn to effectively use a camera to create an image that they pre-visualized. My students learn all of the many technical aspects of the cameras and lens, composition, and editting, but we maintain a strong connection to the intuitive and artistic.
I love to create: photo, video and all styles.
Planning and pre-visualizing is a requirement but so is improvisation and serendipity.
Photography appeals to my nature because of it's many-faceted and even contradictory nature. It is a highly technical craft that can be transcendant and become art. It is hands-on and tactile while also requiring comprehension, interpretation and vision. It is important to empathize and instruct other humans yet there's long hours in solitude.
But mostly it's fun and I'm so lucky to be able to make art for a living.
I have taken 4 weeks of photography lessons with Jee before which I had no prior experience. He was extremely helpful from the start helping me pick out a really good camera for beginners, fairly priced. He is presently teaching me the technical aspects of photography and incorporates practical aspects within the lessons... which means we go out and do pics together during which he also gives helpful tips, advice and explanations. Would definitely recommend his services.
