Karen Tan Art

Hi, my name is Karen Tan. I offer pastel and oil/acrylic painting classes for on going lessons, ladies' paint nights, homeschool co-ops and workshops.

I specialize in creating paintings in chiaroscuro style, combining the old master's feel with contemporary elements.

My students from elementary to high school win awards at the MN Statefair.

I have training at St. Paul Art Academy and White Bear Center of the Arts under Christopher Copeland.

My passion is to celebrate the beauty and richness of life through art, as well as helping others do the same. I enjoy seeing my own progress and also guiding students through their art journey. I paint using loose and painterly brushstrokes and love seeing the results of it.
