Northwest Twin Cities Science Tutor
About
Hi!
My name is Jordan and I am ready to help you & your students SUCCEED and GROW in their science skills.
I have a degree in Earth Science, and I am currently getting a masters degree at the University of MN in education.
I've been a substitute teacher for three years, but am also now taking clients for science tutoring!
I mostly specialize in Earth Science, Physical Science, Astronomy, or Biology.
I am able to help with some chemistry/physics but I'd prefer to keep that to a minumum.
I've worked with students of all ages for about 7 years, and I simply love working with kids. Science is my #1 passion though, I love science books, shows, and learning about science!
Having an oppurtunity to work with students and talk about science is FUN for me- I just love it that much!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I will first look at previous test scores (if possible) and see where the weak content areas are.
If tests aren't available, current assignments from school will help so I can see what subjects your student(s) are learning.
I will then create lessons/worksheets/lectures/quizzes to help grow in the areas your student(s) needs improvement.
I'll provide 1:1 tutoring (in person or remotely) to help your student succeed in school!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bachelor's of Science in Earth Science- Winona State University
Masters in Education- University of Minnesota (In- progress)
3 years of substitute teaching
7 years of working with kids of all ages.
