About this pro

I want to be able to help people discover their passion of  photography and understand how  to take any photo in any situation.

I teach a hands on course about manual settings and how to use them to help take those perfect photos. I give a binder with all the information we learn in class to reference back to.

I like seeing the expression on my students faces when they "Get it". Knowing that they can now go home with confidence in their ability to take the photos they have always wanted to take. I love that it is Happy work.

I have been a professional for over 25 yrs.

The thing ie liked most is how direct and hands on you are. You aren't afraid to get in depth with the camera and techniques, and I could tell you loved watching me learn.Id love to learn more.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

My class is a 2 hour course, which we work hands on. I give you a workbook that we will study and you will take home as a reference.

I will teach the student how to use their manual settings and how to take picutres in almost any situation well using the apature / shutter speed / composition / exposure.

My 1st class is held at my studio. We will work in the studio and also on my acre lot.I have  a small waterfalls and many gardens and  items we use to learn manual settings.

My 2nd class , I like to go on location and learn more about our cameras while photographying at the zoo, or Minnehaha falls parks, etc.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have been a professional photographer for over 25 years.

I started out with Manual cameras. This forced me to konw your settings in manual.

I went to Mpls School of Art  for 3 years. I learned Photography, lightning, exposure and manual settings.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

My class is $70 for 2 hours at my studio for the 1st lesson.

I go on location for  the 2nd class, so we can have fun and learn hands on.

How did you get started teaching?

I started training individuals to help me with my weddings and portraits several years ago. I like the idea of having a 2nd photographer to capture  those candid moments.

I look to train individuals to help me now with my weddings.

they 1st come with me as an assistant, then i will graudually will put a camera in your hands.

What types of students have you worked with?

individuals that are working with me and interested in weddings and portraits.

I have taken individuals out as friends to show them how to take outdoor family photos or nature photos.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

I went up to Duluth 3 times this year. We went up 3 different times of the year. The many waterfalls, hiking paths, landscape up there is so full of photo opportunites.

If you ahve never went up there, after you learn your camera, it is a must.
