Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The process for working with clients starts with a free 30-60 minute consultation. The consultation is for us to get to know each other better and for me to understand exactly what you're looking to achieve and giving you my honest feedback if I'm the right fit for you. Training is an investment and I will make sure if I can't help you I refer you to the right person for you to cash in on your investment.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I majored in Sports Management and business.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
1 hour golf lesson $100
30 minutes $75
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching/training by being recruited to teach sports teams when I was younger and then when I got out of college I was recruited again to be a personally trainer. As I was training I was told by clients that I should give lessons as well and now here I am!
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with all types of students. I've worked with kids around 5 years old all the way up to adults well in their 70's. I have worked with physically disabled people to top Golf pro's in Minnesota.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I love watching the Masters not because I am interrested in seeing who wins but rather to see how people react when they lose. I think the best learning method is to understand your character when life isn't going your way and then to learn how to overcome that adversity. That's why I love coaching/ training cause behavior change is just as important if not more important than learning the skills to play the game.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would say to find the right fit for you. It should be an enjoyable experience while you get better. If you hire a trainer that doesn't adapt to you do not be afraid of firing them because even though they don't work for you they can work for someone else. Your time is valuable and this is an investment so make sure it works for you not the coach/trainer.
