About
Lessons are geared towards helping you achieve your goals in every single session and making you a great guitar player while having fun at the same time.
Playing and teaching guitar is my passion. Music gets more fun and rewarding the more you can play what you want. I love guiding my students to become great guitar players.
I love working with absolute beginners who barely know how to hold the guitar and taking them step-by-step to becoming players who can jam with others and play the way the only dreamed of before.
I also love helping intermediate players who may have developed bad habits or just know bits and pieces of songs and/or theory and filling in the holes for them. By refining their technique, filiing in the gaps in their knowledge, and making their practice time extremely efficient average players become great players.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
It's very important for me to understand where you are as a player and where you want to go.
What are your biggest struggles on the guitar?
What style(s) do you want to play? Do you want to be in a band, play live, play by yourself on the front porch, or record?
I offer a free introductory lesson where we can make sure we are a good fit for each other and talk further about your goals and different options for lessons.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I participate in ongoing monthly guitar-teaching education and training. I attend yearly seminars with top music teachers from around the world to ensure that I am on the leading-edge of teaching guitar.
You can be sure that you are getting excellent instruction with the absolute best strategies and techniques so that you can achieve your guitar-playing goals.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
What types of students have you worked with?
I work with all kinds of students. I teach everyone from kids to adults in their 80's, absolute never-picked-up-a guitar beginners to advanced players.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
One student tells me that after every lesson his wife asks him, "Did you learn something? Did you have fun?". Invariably he always answers her "yes" with a big smile.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Some guitar players who are looking for an instructor just go off of location and lowest price. Don't make this mistake. Finding the right guitar teacher will save you time (sometimes years of effort and frustration) and money (because you can reach your goals faster). And you'll have a lot more fun becoming the player you want to be!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I have an excellent guide on how to choose a guitar teacher that I can provide for you so that you know that you're making the absolute best decision for you.
