Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Getting to know them, talking about their interests. What has inspired them to want to work in visual art. And if they have any work that we can build from to look at. I start with basics if they don't know color/ paper, brushes etc.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been painting sincerely young girl whom my artist father would educate and allow me to explore. To present full time working artist. I have shown in galleries, private shows and have won many awards. I have worked with and under seasoned artists. I actively take other artist workshops to better my skills. I have been a working artist for over 30 years.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
It is dependent to the need of the student. $20-$40
this may include that I am supplying materials or travel. I always discuss and agree together what works best for the student and I.
How did you get started teaching?
Always have. My father was an artist and taught me and so I learned to teach others. It was a natural translation. I was asked to start teaching at schools and events. It helped refine my skills.
