About
I love helping students feel empowered, confident, and competent. Kids who work with me begin to see themselves as capable and smart, sending them rocketing towards success!
I have 10+ years of experience in the classroom and as a tutor, an MSEd in elementary teaching, and a deep commitment to developing strong relationships with my students.
My favorite thing about working one on one with students, is getting to know them and their passions and interests. Watching them grow into confident, creative learners, who know they can learn ANYTHING is what gives me joy!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to get to know the kids I work with by finding out what they enjoy most, both at school and in their free time. I ask for information about the family's and student's goals for our work together, and where they see areas of strength and challenge.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an MSEd in elementary education and 10+ years of on-the-job training and experience.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My lesson rate starts at $45 per hour for one student.
How did you get started teaching?
I literally saw a sign! Walking out of the store one day, I saw a sign on a bulletin board that said, "Spring Hill School needs Teachers!" I was finishing my first year out of college, and had been working with an educational theater company, but this felt like the next right step. I worked in that school in a variety of positions for 11 years, and they supported me in pursuing my Master's degree.
What types of students have you worked with?
I work mostly with young learners between 5 and 18 years of age, from kindergarten through high school. I help kids with ADHD access their unique gifts for learning, and have also worked with kids with ASD and other neurodiverse labels.
