Slam Academy of Electronic Arts is an educational program dedicated to creative excellence in digital music and media. With classes in Ableton Live, Sound Design, Synthesis, Beatmaking, DJing and more, our curriculum is uniquely tailored to meet the needs of students with a desire to be on the cutting edge of electronic music and art.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Students meet in one of our 4 studio facilities in our Northeast Minneapolis complex, or online. Our veteran DJs, Producers, and Recording Engineers will work with any level of students from beginners to advanced!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All of our teachers have extensive real-world experience working in the field of live electronic music and recording. In addition, our faculty have numerous advanced degrees and certifications in electronic music, composition, theory, and art.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Lessons range from $35/hour to $120/hour depending on which teacher you decide to work with. If you call or email our office, we will be happy to talk about the options that we offer and suggest who might be the best fit for you.
How did you get started teaching?
Most of our teachers started teaching at area colleges and universities. In 2011 we banded together and started Slam Academy, as a way to offer low-cost classes and lessons in electronic music.
