Welcome! I'm dedicated to finding the right fit for you, whether you are just looking to have fun and experiment, develop your skills to the next level, or ready to become a professional artist.

My teaching is personalized to fit your skill levels and interests, from beginner to advanced students. I particularly enjoy helping students explore painting, drawing, and/or mixed media with a variety of subject matter and styles from realistic to expressionistic to abstract.

I also offer art consultations, constructive critiques, help with writing/editing artist resumes, artist statements, and grant applications. These options can be stand alone or added to your hands on art making curriculum.

My workshop teaching style will be tailored to your personal needs and interests in a relaxed, fun but goal focused atmosphere.

My Experience

I am a professional artist with training in painting, drawing, and mixed media. I have a BFA from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and attended Syracuse University in NY for graduate studies in Painting. I've received artist awards and grants, have been featured on a PBS TV segment, and my work has been in publications. I have experience running a non profit and for profit gallery space, curating shows, jurying and writing grants, exhibiting my own work, and teaching. I currently work full-time in my art studio and gallery located in Minneapolis, MN.
