About
I am accredited with a Master of Music from Juilliard, and Doctorate of Musical Arts from University of Minnesota. I teach cello technique that leads to artistic sucess. My students all have a healthy way of playing, and are able to progress through the cello repertoire.
I enjoy it when people are able to express music as they hear it in their mind, by having great technique to do so. The character of every person deserves its own expression, and the cello is perfectly suited for this.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We address the physical setup of the instrument, the relation of the cello to the body. Each student is different, but certain fundamentals remain to create a healthy way of playing.
We then work on scales systematically, as well as working on open strings alone, and left hand patterns.
We select repertoire appropriate to the student, drawn from the Suzuki Cello books, folk music, and the standard cello repertoire.
