About

I blend a dash of humor with a spoonful of class participation along with a full cup of hands on, to teach students the basic firearm safety fundamentals.

In this class you will learn the basic fundamentals of pistol safety, storage, marksmanship, maintenance and how to select the proper ammunition, accessories and gear you need or want. Upon completion of the class you will be issued a certificate you can use to apply for your Minnesota Concealed Carry permit. The class will cover what you can and can't do, where you can and can't go with a concealed weapon. We will discuss situational awareness, avoidance & de-escalation techniques, duty to retreat requirements and use of force scenarios. You will also learn what states recognize your MN permit and the proper way to travel with a firearm.

I enjoy helping students feel confident about learning a new skill or becoming more practiced with previous knowledge. I take pride in explaining complicated topics in simple terms that everyone can grasp.

    Daniel’s class was very informative and thorough with all the material. Provided lots of real life examples from his impressive background. He made the class very exciting and interesting. When we got to the gun range he helped me feel very comfortable the entire time since I had never held or shot a gun! I would highly recommend his class!

    The classroom time was thorough but it seemed to go by fast. I liked the e-book that was provided. Daniel Ward provided great instruction on the basics and was patient with students. I recommend the class to anyone regardless of their comfort level or experience with firearms.

    I have a fee of $45/hr with a four hour minimum.
