About
My services are aimed towards new players of any age, although I have more experience with younger musicians. I offer the the wisdom of professional musicians that I have picked up in the decade I've been playing.
As a college student and educator I understand the importance of the mentor-mentee connection, and aim to cultivate a passion for music through the interests of my students.
Experience :
- 10 years of trumpet - this includes mentoring from professionals such as Solomon Parham and Adam Meckler, as well as experience in over a dozen different bands of various genres
- Education expereince - a semester as a classroom assistant at Wellstone Elementary in Saint Paul, and music teaching experience with middle schoolers.
- 3 years of self taught experience in Ableton
Music has brought so much joy into my life, and been the best teacher to me. I have had the privilege of inhereting a long lineages of mentors, and I'm ready to pass on the gifts I have been given.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I really value personal connection with my students. It is very important to me to understand their background in music, even if it just what they enjoy listening to. This helps me set goals that both of us can be excited about, and contextualizes all the technique training that is essential to learning the trumpet or any instrument.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Beyond my own experience as a musician, I was part of a program in highschool that offerred lessons to local middle school students, and I have a lot of experience working with kids, from overnight summer camps, to providing in-class guidance.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$30 for 30 minutes
$45 for an hour
If you are interested in taking lessons with me but need pricing accomodations, I'm happy to work with you, please reach out!
How did you get started teaching?
Being a music educator is a natural extension of musicianship, and also an essential part of the learning process. My first experience with teaching was in high school, but through playing with bands and private lessons I've been learning how to teach since I was 12.
What types of students have you worked with?
In the musical realm I've provided lessons for middle schoolers who had very limited experience with the trumpet. Through other programs I have mentored experienced musicians on more advanced theory and musicality.
