Photography has been my first love for over nine years. I've gone to school to refine my craft so that, in turn, I might be able to help others on their own photographical journeys. It brings me joy to see someone pursue their passion, and I love being able to help someone else chase their dream of becoming a great photographer!
The art of photography is the art of storytelling without any written word to aid in the narration. I love the ability a single photo has to communicate so much of a story and provoke thought without ever speaking a word. It's the art of visual communication, and I enjoy being a visual communicator!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Begin with basics. It's always best to begin teaching someone photography by starting at the root: the camera. If one doesn't understand the ins and outs of their camera, then the camera won't be of much use when it comes time to take great photos. I start with the basics of the tool, and then begin hands on experience with each different function to show the student what the different camera tools and settings can do for his or her photos!
