About

We are a Christian based music school that provides an incredible facility and atmosphere perfect for learning. Note reading is the standard method of teaching and will always be the fundamental basis for most everything we do. However, we are also able to incorporate ear training by experienced instructors with a background in Jazz, Gospel, and Blues. This opens up another exciting avenue of learning.

Watching students grow musically is so rewarding and will always be the focus of what we do. Our students become like family...we enjoy the relationships built through taking lessons.

    My husband and I have been impressed with the the standard of excellence at J. Oscar. We love how friendly, supportive and skilled the staff members are. Jeromy and Barbie Hoffee are kind, loving, and competent directors who take the time to know each student and his or her family! I feel like I am part of a community when I walk through the doors:) Our five year-old eagerly anticipates her weekly piano lessons. My almost two year-old enjoys the love she receives too! I haven’t come across a single dissatisfied parent. Can’t say enough good about this music school!

    I typically always let the student know a little about the lessons and then offer them a free trial lesson as way to make sure it is a good fit for them.
