About
I love learning and growing as a musician. I have earned an Associates Degree in Music Performance and am capable of playing as well as teaching multiple instruments. Young or old I enjoy teaching and helping people start or continue their journey as a musician. However, if you are a prospective student who wants to request a quote from me but has not yet obtained an instrument then chances are I will most likely not give you a quote. It is not because I am only in teaching for the money it is just the simple fact that when I choose to give somebody a quote I get have to use my tokens which I have to pay out of pocket for to Lessons.com and I can't even begin to count how many times I have given students who don't have an instrument a quote and then I never hear from them again. Please don't take this the wrong way because I love teaching, but I just can't afford to keep giving quotes to prospective students who may not have and most likely will never end up getting their instrument, thus leaving me hanging. Other than that I sincerely look forward to hearing from you if you are serious about taking lessons and learning how to play.
I enjoy watching people grow, learn, and become better musicians under my mentorship and guidence. I don't know of anything that actually makes me feel such a sense of pride than watching a student of mine grow.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
With a new student I typically will start off by simply asking them why they are interested in learning how to play or sing, and I like to find out what kind of music they enjoy listening to. This way I can use songs by artists they already enjoy to help start their journey towards becoming a newly formed musician.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an Associates in Fine Arts Specializing in Guitar and Music Performance. I have been playing percussion for 22 years ever since I learned how in my middle school band. I taught myself how to play guitar and bass guitar 20 years ago and I actually played trumpet as my very first musical instrument when I was 10 years old. I am good enough to teach beginner to intermediate trumpet, I was in choir all through middle school into high school and then in college. I have a Specialist Certificate for recording music using Pro Tools software from Berklee School of Music Online.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I typically charge $20 per lesson and each lesson would be an hour long at minimum. It works best for me if students can come to my studio area in my home or do lessons over the internet or video chat through cell phone.
