Lost Production Arts
About
I've been a musician my entire life, I've studied DAWs on my own time, and I have used almost all of the major DAWs out there. I perform live Electronica, DJ, Keyboard and synthsax sets, I have a production studio with licensed state of the art software, and have been playing piano since age 2.
This isn't my job. I have a day job. This is my hobby and my past time. I have invested many hours into refining my craft of performance and production.
I might not work with you at all. I'm not really seeking students. Facebook sent me an ad asking if I would teach piano and I said screw it I'll sign up.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
See how well they listen, set their ego aside and follow along. I love teaching, I hate babysitting. I especially hate when someone asks me "How do I do xyz" inside of a DAW, I show them, and then I am told "That's not how I do it"
I will *immediately* drop you as a student if you ever utter those words to me. This isn't my job.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Ive played piano by ear since age 2.
I've performed sax on Carnigie Hall.
Ive used Propellerheads Reason software since beta. Now going on almost 2 decades.
Ive played with so many DAWs ive lost track. (pun intended)
I've studied audio engineering to a sophisticated level.
This isn't my job.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Depends on the person. This isn't my job.
How did you get started teaching?
A facebook ad said I should post piano lessons here.
I have taught a microelectronics class for homeschooled children before. They went on to win national robotics competitions. Unrelated to music, but related to my ability to teach and convey information.
What types of students have you worked with?
Incredibly brilliant ones. I haven't worked with a student I didn't want too.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
My last darkwave concert went pretty well.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Set your mannerisms, methods and ego aside, and try doing things the way the teacher is explaining. From finger positions while playing Mozart to setting up a stereo to mono chain in your DAW.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What exactly are your needs? Are you looking to perform professionally or just learn some piano? Are you wanting to build your own audio production studio? Are you wanting to build this studio for yourself or to record others? Are you wanting to learn musical theory better? Are you wanting your beats to sound better? Learning to mix/master? What are you going for?
