About

For the last 55 years I have either been a player, coach or fan of the great sport of baseball. Over 25 years I have coached and worked with kids to improve their skills but more importantly to love the sport. Working one on one with players allows me to work with their mechanics and learn effective drills to make them better ballplayers. I love the game and would instill that in players I work with.

Frequently asked questions

Prefer to work one on one with a student. It is very helpful if a parent or fellow player helps by throwing soft toss or batting practice when working with hitters so I can work up close and observe their swing or when working on pitching or defense as well.

Raising 5 boys who all played baseball. Four of whom went on to play college baseball. Attended numerous camps with kids and observed. Reading, watching video and putting all of these into action when coaching or working with my kids. Keeping what works and discarding what does not. Additionally, the type of drills or work we do depends upon your child's age, experience and receptivity to learn new concepts.

$50 per hour, but would adjust that downwards based upon age and level of experience.

Coaching my sons. I have always loved teaching and discovered early on that effective coaching involves teaching.

All ages. Besides my kids, my biggest accomplishments have been working with kids on my team who were not able to play baseball very well and by persistence and patience making them into better baseball players. All of this using positive techniques to help them improve their abilities and maintain appropriate levels of confidence.

One of my former players (who had great difficulty fielding, hitting and even throwing in 13-15 yoa baseball) hit 2 triples and a double in a High School game I was umpiring. I am also fond of dozens of my players playing college baseball and having the opportunity to coach 2 division 1 NCAA players and 1 major leaguer.

Teachers who teach the game, work with kids with patience but also perseverance. Coaching and teaching positively works wonders with students.

What areas do they need to work on? (After making an unbiased observation of their talents) What are you having the most difficulties with in games or even practice? Do you work hard in practice and during games to be the best you can be?
