I believe my service stands out from knowledge and experience, like anything in this world. I've played and been surrounded by the game for 20 years now(since 4), from rec ball machine pitch in California to 12u AAA/Majors at 3&2 in Kansas or even the World Series in Steamboat, Co to highschool, legion and ban johnson league and aslo to college trips out to Cal Ripken Stadium in Myrtle Beach. However, Knowledge and acclamations aren't everything. The love I have for this game has matured from player mindset to a coach like mentality. Along my journey I've gained heart mixed in with... Patience(which I believe is key when getting a point or strategical idea across). If I can help your son now rather than later, I'm positive I can get him to the level in which your expectations are exceeded, but most importantly, his understanding of the game and having fun with his success.
Where do I start! In the Blue Springs school district, we had a day allocated for Grandparents. Now, I didn't like this day so much because my Gparents were back in California where they're established and comfortable. Being the social bug I was, I clung on to friends Gparents. What I noticed between parents and Gparents was the amount of knowledge, speech pattern awareness, confidence in being able to understand any situation and proceed with experience. I found myself interested, why? Not because my Gparents were 2000 miles away or anything, but because the care and compassion with undisputed experience were overwhelmingly attractive. The smile on a Grandparents face when you comprehend the lesson, indescribable. I enjoy my work because I feel as though I'm a grandparent in knowledge and experience, willing to subside for the gratification in hopes I can teach and grow your individual so he can manifest in the game of baseball with the best understanding and skill possible.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
It's a must I gain an awareness of where he is mentally and skills wise before I do anything. From there, I will make a plan with you on what I'd like to proceed with, hitting mechanics and routines, arm strength workouts, etc. We will go from there on what you expect. Week by week or month by month, I'd like to sit down with both of you to cross off successes and defeats, but most importantly discussing conquered goals and future betterment strategies. If I could come to a game here and there, that would be fantastic. But film of recent material learned in game like situations are crucial. Practice and cages are one thing, game like situations are priceless. Plus, I can also put a mean highlight tape together of all film for a college recruiter if moving to the next level is your goal.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've played and coached the game of baseball for a combination of 20 years.
I played competitively in AAA/Majors throughout my childhood in the mid-west region, but also traveling to huge tournaments in Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Louisana, Mississippi, South Carolina, Texas.
I played Highschool Baseball at Blue Springs South
Then moved on to College at North Central and finishing up at Missouri Valley.
I've helped coach the 16U Northwest Outlaws, 14U Blue Springs Elks, and 12U KC Express.

How did you get started teaching?
After college, my love for the game kept maturing. So I helped my 2 little brothers at getting better, talked to their coaches and slowly started helping their respected teams. About a year ago, it really took off when an old buddy from college reached out and needed help coaching his team in St. Joeseph. I don't believe I'm quite ready for a team due to timing and that so crucial knowledge that is gained with coaching kids one on one. I do plan to slowly work my way into a position where I can handle multiple skills levels at once with the ability to mesh and grow all parties invested.
What types of students have you worked with?
Mostly teams, but I would like to focus my time more one on one with students. I feel I can grow to my full potential if I break the process down for 1 mind rather than 14. Being able to get through to an individual and seeing the same ending result in vision is crucial, much harder to do with 13 of your closest peers. Much easier to do with your parents and teacher around with minimal distractions.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I've been working with my 17yr old brother throughout my childhood, teaching him everything I could possibly funnel down. We practiced and practiced. Studied countless major league games. I go to his high school games while he went to my college games. This year, his junior year, he finishes up the high school season with All-Conference and Districts. Super fond of that moment.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Please keep pushing through every obstacle this game throws your way. It's fun, maturing, rewarding and has an insane of amount of life skills to teach you. I'd love to help you, just come with a great attitude and an open mind.

Any question is a question that needs to be answered, and none of them are dumb. I'm ready to walk you through it all.
