What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First I get to know about the student's experience with music. Whether it is their first contact with playing an instrument or if they are just looking for ways to keep playing the flute, I will tailor their lessons according to their needs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelor's and master's degrees in Flute Performance and I am currently on the last year of my Doctorate. I have taught undergrads as part of my Teaching Assistant assignments in graduate school and have also kept private students in person and online since I was in college. My experience with profesional and youth orchestras and wind ensembles has also helped me become a better instructor.
