New Horizons Photography Lessons
About
Hey guys the name's Shawn! My wife and I have been doing photography for many, many years and I personally would love to be able to help out any amateur photographers! Like I said, I personally have been doing photography since 2008 and have owned a photography business called "New Horizons Photography, LLC" for the last 5 years! I know all about cameras inside and out. The hardest thing about starting out is understanding just how to use every tool on you camera that's available to you. Let me teach ya all about them! Trust me, we will get you shooting like a pro in no time!! :) Here's our work!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First we will start off by figuring out what you want to do with your photography. Different types call for different teaching methods. Then we will start learning about all the key-words and vocabulary that come with photography. Next we learn about all the in-depth camera functions. Finally, we take those skills and put them to the test using common photography methods. No teacher can teach style because every photographer will have different tastes in a photo.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
-Photography business for the last 5 years
-Photography classes
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
We can talk about it in person or phone! :)
How did you get started teaching?
Wanted to more for my community teaching people about what I am most passionate about! :)
What types of students have you worked with?
All around the board. From absolute beginners to experienced vets.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Our most recent wedding shoot was so fun! It was super pretty and we had a blast.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for someone who will go above and beyond just telling you what to do. There's always more to learn and at the end of the day both teacher and student can learn new perspectives and ideas.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What their end goal is. Is this just a hobby, or do you want to make a career out of this.
