We spent the better part of a day one-on-one touring Kansas City with photography in mind. Had a blast, chatting, learning, photographing.

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Review their current work and discuss where they want to take their photography.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

New York Insitute of Photography graduate.

I started photography in 1982, learned darkroom techniques to develop my own film.  I converted to digital cameras in 2005.

I have 8 years experience with Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom which allows me to do photo retouching as well as photography.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

My standard is $50 per lesson.  Lessons are two hours.  This gives the student enough time to receive a great deal of information but isn’t overwhelmingly long.

How did you get started teaching?

I started teaching through co-hosting photography workshops and helping new photographers learn basic skills.

What types of students have you worked with?

I have worked with beginners to advanced and even a few working professionals.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Look for an instructor that fits your needs without wanting to make you a copy of themselves.
