Benji's Art
About
I earned a bachelor of fine art in 1999 in interdisciplinary studies. During my undergraduate studies I worked with the following media; printmaking, painting, drawing, figure drawing, and photography. Since that time I also have worked with ceramics. I have shown my work in several juried shows and have had multiple solo shows as well.
I am comfortable teaching any of these media. I have also taught middle school and high school art for the last five years. I thoroughly enjoy introducing people of all ages to the arts and look forward to tailoring my teaching style and subjects to your interests.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I first want to understand my new students goals and see if my knowledge and experiences will be helpful. Once I have an idea of what the student wants to accomplish, we set up a timeline so we understand what objectives we want to meet. Once we are ready, I will give the student a list of necessary art materials, then begin with various skill builders that will lead to finished art pieces they can be proud of.
