About

I have been painting and creating art since 1985 and have experience in a variety of mediums and can teach you how to paint, sculpt, or draw. I come to you and teach you in the comfort of your own home.

My services include teaching acrylic, oil, drawing, and relief work on board.

I enjoy all aspects of painting and sculpting relief work and I love to share what I know with people who want to learn. There is no mistake that you can make in art that I cannot help you fix.

The knowledge and patience the instructor had with students. She gave precise, step by step instructions, and even taught me how to rectify areas that I thought were not presentable. Her love and passion for the art is very expressive and contagious.
I would recommend this artist and experience to anyone wanting to learn the art of expressive painting.

    Frequently asked questions

I have a conversation with the student to see what their goals and interests are. Then we pick a subject to produce and decide which plan would best fit their schedule, budget, and time needed for completion of the project.

My education with painting and sculpture come from life, experience, new ventures, experimentation, research, and the school of hard knocks. I have been producing artwork in many forms, for professional application and sale since 1985.

I earned a BFA in Graphic Design in 2011 and freelance to small businesses to help them with their basic needs of content and marketing material and skills. I also use my graphic skills in my artwork to create presentations, compositions, and illustrations.

Sessions typically run 8 sessions, one day per week. We can produce as many paitnings in that time as we choose to, depending upon the skill level of the student.

Pricing ranges from $35 per session to $75 per session depending upon the length of the sessions and the chosen project.

    Group rates are available.

Children's lessons range from $20 per session to $25, with 1 and 1.5 hour sessions available.

I have always loved to share what I learn with others so I have been teaching all along.

Generally, I work with beginners and those just starting out, with the goal of building an advancing relationship in art, with each of my students. I get the most joy out of watching my students succeed in areas where they had doubts. I love showing them and challenging them in order to bring out the best in themselves; and seeing them smile at their accomplishments brings me joy.

Some questions to ask youself when you are looking for art lessons are, why are you doing this, and what do you want to get out of this experience? Your reasons for taking art lessons will be reflected in how you value the class, the price, and the instructor.

If you just want to have something to do in your free time that seems like fun, you will place a lesser value on the class, than someone who is learning so they can possibly use the skill in business. The person just trying to have a relaxing time of it won't want the in depth, detail type paintings or instructor, that a serious artist would require.
