When a player breaks records and knows the tools used to step up his game, he can teach young players who have a passion for Soccer. A point I learned from the West German National and Olympic Coach Detmar Cramer, "You always learn everytime you walk on the field. Do not think you know it all, because that is when you stop learning!"
It is not work! The love of the game brings opportunities and developing players with a passion for the game is very rewarding. When I coached my Son's Select Soccer team, St. Louis Kickers, from CYC age 5 on up to Select Soccer and High School, I had one goal in mind, develop their talent so all my players make their Varsity Soccer Teams and they all did. The greatest honor is when you watch the players you taught perform above the competition and one player comes to you after the last game of his High School career and thanks you for teaching him the game. My reply to Matt Hanneken was, "It was an honor." No, that is not work!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I cover the points needed for success. That outline is then used to develop the skills, individual skill development and team concept understanding.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started palying Soccer at age 8 and played through youth and into College. Set many records in scoring using the keys learned both individual skills and team concept. In College at Aurora University, I scored 22 goals and 8 assists in 14 games. That was 1971 and the record still stands today. I have a "D" License issued by FIFA and can Coach up to College level.
