Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working with a new student, we try to find the best artists in our Studio to help fit any perferences or needs a student may have. With over 20+ artists in our Studios, we are able to accommodate from beginners to advance students and are sure we'll find the perfect teacher to help you!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We have fabulous artists from all different backgrounds. Many self-taugh, over 10+ artists in our Studios carrying a BFA or MFA from different Colleges and Universities throughout the United States.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing depends on the students necessities and artists availability. If the artists must travel to meet you for a class, the cost of gas plus a flat "cost per drive" will be added to the overall cost. If materials, equipment or finalizing of the artwork is need (Such as Framing, Stretching a Canvas, Firing of Ceramics, Etc.) an additional cost will be added to your total. We will do our best to find the right teacher to work with your price range as well as the opportunity to have the best experience through your class.
How did you get started teaching?
In January of 2019, we began renovations on a 8,000+ sq ft warehouse in Asheville's River Arts District which we dream of being a Community Art Center where everyone had the opportunity to be creative and have the chance to pursue careers in the arts. Over many months of hard work and construction, we have put together an amazing space filled with some of the best artists on the East Coast, all resident of WNC.
What types of students have you worked with?
From Beginners to Advanced Students. We have teachers available to teach your first art class to teachers who can put together College level courses.
