Hitting And Baseball Lessons
About
I partner with the parents and hitters on how to improve their players swing. There is a focus on fundamentals and mechanics of swinging and how to generate power.
I have played up to college ball, catcher, pitcher, and CF. I have coached for over 10 years, mostly 9-12 yr olds.
Lessons include T work/ Pitching Machine (have my own) swing analysis including zepp senors for bat head speed and launch angle.
I currently coach as an assistant for the Town of Cary 11-12 yr olds.
I love the game and hope first to share that love. In the end we are are all students and learn from each other and I have been surrounded by some great players and coaches who have passed along their knowledge to me. I enjoy passing that along and then seeing the confidence boost in my players when they apply the lessons and see higher levels of performance. Then there is that look between the player, parent and myself with a smile and we all know we did it.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Start by asking what their goals are first. We have to align the destination first.
The next step is to develop a baseline. Record current swing, gets results for bat speed, launch angle, and then begin to analyze the swing. There is a period of education that the hitter and the parent need to understand where we are now, where we want to be, and then make a development plan together to get there.
We then focus on making mechanical adjustments and reinforce drills to be done at home with the parent to reinforce these changes.
Keep in mind, hitting is very much mental. We work on building muscle memory with the right swing and building confidence. This is how you progress.
