Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
New students discuss their musical interests and abilities with office staff before being placed with a teacher. In the first lesson, the teacher chooses coursework that is best suited to the student.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All teachers at Cary School of Music have college or university training in music. Many hold advanced degrees and are professional musicians who perform in orchestras, theaters, and pop/rock bands.
How did you get started teaching?
Cary School of Music founder Pam Pandolfi, who began playing violin at the age of four, grew up in a musical family. After many years of teaching violin from home and at schools, she was given a grant by her brother Emile Pandolfi, an internationally renowned pianist and recording artist, to start her own music school.
