Paint has so much depth of color and emotion and will help the student deal with issues in life as well. Art making is therapeutic on many levels.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We will start before meeting , having a materials list ready for the student to try something new and also work with materials they already have.
Ideas and themes will be a source of inspiration for the student and can be remembered by the use of journaling and talking together. Stretching canvas or linen, over a Masonite board and I can bring a product I use in my studio, which is rabbit skin glue or gesso, student will have a understanding of classic methods of oil painting and acrylic. Sketching and styles will be taught and we will learn from contemporary as well as old masters in class. I can teach a group, or solo any age or experience.
