My name is Courtney and I am a NC licensed K-12 art teacher who has taught in both the public and private sector. While in college I studied a variety of different mediums, but focused the studio portion of my degree in drawing and ceramics. My artwork has been exhibited in over 30 exhibitions and my techniques and research has been published in 3 academic journals. Along with this I have earned a running total of $20,000 in state creative grants. Now that I am an established artist I spend the majority of my time creating art with a purpose to sell at festivals and local marketplaces.
I decided to start teaching because not only do I enjoy creating art, but I also enjoy sharing my knowledge with artists of all ages and skill levels!
Courtney is so much fun to work with! I’m a complete beginner and I felt comfortable and learned a ton. Enjoyed lots of laughs, conversation and education and will be returning for more lessons.
New students are encouraged to visit the studio prior to scheduling their first paid lesson. New students can participate in a free 15-30 minute meet and greet session where we will discuss expectations along with short-term and long-term goals.
I am a licensed NC K-12 art teacher. My license can be viewed online by searching my full name on the NCDPI "Public Licensure Lookup." A printed copy of my license is posted in the studio.
Pricing varies depending on the art material and session length.
