Known for his fashion photography, studio work and celebrity portraiture, Gordon Munro’s work has appeared in Time, Interview, Vogue and Vanity Fair. An expert in studio lighting, portraiture and darkroom printing, he’s taught a roster of students and former assistants, many of whom have stayed within the profession to become successful photographers and filmmakers in their own right.
In addition, Gordon has taught courses in studio lighting as a unique part of the curriculum at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and at Bard College.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Each student is an indivual who's needs and questions are different. As a professional photographer for many years I am able to help solve most most problems my students have.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
40 years of professional experience as a photgrapher. I have also taught classes and given workshops at Bard College, UNC Chapel Hill and a number of Camera Clubs in North Carolina.
