Bachelors in Music Performance from Illinois Wesleyan University.

Over 40 years experience as a professional musician, arranger, and composer. 

I have played for many touring national Broadway shows, name artists, orchestras, and big bands.

I typically charge roughly a dollar a minute. The time alloted per lesson varies from a half-hour to two hours depending on what I am teaching and the level of the student.

I started teaching as a sideline while I was in college. I am now semi-retired from my "day-gig," which was focused on adult education in the healthcare setting.

I am been a teacher and interested in education my entire career.

All types - I have worked with everything from beginners to college students to fellow professionals. 

I enjoy teaching students of all levels. I believe that I learn as much from my students as they learn from me.

I recently played for the National Tour of Motown. Great show, great music playing with an awesome cast and great fellow musicians. For me, it doesn't get much better than that.

Make sure that instructor is a good communicator and is able to relay his expertise to you.

Taking lessons should be comfortable and fun.

There should always be a sense that you are moving forward and the instructor should be able to help you move toward your goals at a pace that is comfortable to you.
