About
CCBC is a pre-professional, community-based, non-profit ballet company featuring classic and contemporary works, enriching the Charlotte community through public performances and outreach programs. Founded by Claudia Folts and Beverly Barwick in 1985 and currently under the direction of Melissa Hale Coyle and Lisa Leone, we’re proud to have performed with the Charlotte Philharmonic Orchestra, Carolina Voices, BalletFest Atlanta and Charlotte Civic Orchestra. Each year CCBC participates in the Festival of North Carolina Dance and while a member of the South Eastern Regional Ballet Association enjoyed honor company status.
