Coach Freeman has over 15 years of coaching experience at the Varsity, JV, and travel basketball levels. Played Division I basketball and currently holds a USA Basketball Coaches certificate.

I enjoy unlocking potential in young players as well as teaching the game from a Point Guard/Coach on the floor perspective. Very detailed and the level of rigor can be adjusted as needed.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Typically, if level of student is unknown, we work on basic fundamentals (shooting, ball handling, defense and footwork). Once I analyze the skill level of the student, I adjust the rigor accordingly.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have successfully coached at the HS Varsity level for over 20 yrs.
I played Division I basketball and gained invaluable experience by being immersed in and mentored by one of the best basketball minds in the Southeast.

Standard session- $45
Elite session- $60
I do have customizable lessons for those who want a more unique, player-focused experience.
How did you get started teaching?
When I finished my college career at The Citadel in 2000. I was offered a coaching position at my high school alma mater. I have since taken many coaching trainings, attended many coaching summits have been innovative in my training sessions.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with every level from beginners whom never picked up a basketball to elite pro level athletes that are investing in themselves in an attempt to play professionally.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would advise the student to find someone that brings a certain level of comfort when teaching. Someone that has knowledge of the game and can transfer that knowledge to students.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
A student should know what their goal is for the training session/s. What are you looking to get out of the sessions?
