About
I focus on fundamentals. I have more than 20 yrs of coaching and player development exp. I have superior assessment skills and I can develop individual training strategies to correct deficiencies and improve game skills for players at all levels. I also help develop speed, strength and conditioning.
In addition to my coaching experience, I played at all levels including HS, College Div I and internationally in France, United Kingdom and Puerto Rico. I had some great coaches throughout my playing career and I also regularly work basketball camps with legendary coaches like Coack K, Bobby Hurley, Morgan Wootten and others. I currently run a youth basketball league and coach a post-graduate prep team and I am an NCAA certified coach.
I love teaching and watching athletes learn, grow and realize their goals.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I teach fundamental skills and how to think the game. We analyze each player skills, capabilities and gaps and identify drills to address targeted developmental areas. Sessions are frequently video taped so student-players can review their performance during drills and also so they can remember how to do the drills when they practice on their own. The model of instruction is Learn, Reflect, Apply. We teach the skills (learn) The player rehearses and perfects the skill through practice (reflect) The player tries out new skills during live competition. (Apply)
Sweating the small stuff
Basketball is a game of mosquitoes. Good basketball players do little things consistently well.
Shooting and making jump shots, lay-ups and free throws. Shut down defense, passing, rebounding, communicating and sportsmanship are all essential parts of the game. We teach each of these skills through intense game speed drills and workouts according to the player's individual capabilities.
No Backyard training
We emphasize game speed in everything we do. Game speed training, game speed practice leads to game speed performance during games. We want players to develop the habit of practicing like they play so we insert a pace that simulates game speed action. We include speed and agility drills to help improve the player's conditioning and also to ensure that they are not "fresh" and going through the drills a little fatigued, which simulates their game time performance.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Experience includes playing at HS, Elite AAU, Div I college, International, Puerto Rico and Euro League.
