I've been a fine artist since grade school. I have helped many young artists of various grade levels from elementary to high school and watch them become adults. I am a parent that supports my children's creative side and I will do the same for you and yours.
I enjoy drawing because it allows an artist to freely express themselves in their art work. I personally love drawing people. I enjoy helping others when they consult with me and its an extension of my many skills that connect me with others. My main mediums are pencil, color pencil, and chalk pastels, however not limited to just these three.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
To have a conversation to learn more about their passion and interest to confirm if I'm able to give them the instruction they can benefit from.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My natural gift and skills surrounds my art work from age 5 until present.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
For basic instructions my fees start at $40 per hour. Included are materials, travel, and my hourly of instruction and time.
How did you get started teaching?
It started with my children, now ages 26 and 17.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with children that are focused and expressive from ages 8 through adulthood.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Drawing a portrait of my late mother-in-law and our grandchildren as gift to my husband.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
My encouragement would be to get a feel of their energy, their personality, and their willingness to put what you want to do as the most important thing to focus on during your journey. Your intuition about people is usually correct.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Just say what they feel in the best way possible. Never feel your questions are not worthy to be asked. You don't know what you don't know. Write it down so you can avoid forgetting it when you're able to dpeak with them.
