My name is Saijean French I am a 22 year old guitar student passionate about music. looking for students ages 7-17 that are just as passionate about music as I am! I started playing when I was 10 years old learning from YouTube and by ear. Altogether I’ve been playing guitar for an ongoing of 8 years. Additionally, I have been taking music theory lessons for over a year now, and I still currently take lessons. My goal is not only grow as a musician but to guide and share knowledge that I have learned with others! I wish I had someone to guide me when I was growing up. So I want to help others not make the same mistakes I did! We are all learning and learning an instrument is a journey! One that you will love! Hope to hear from you!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Typically with a new student I will have them contact me and we will go over rates and goals with guitar. I will ask if the student has a guitar or not if interested I recommended the best beginner guitar. After that I will set up a time and day to meet up with potential student with a free lesson for the first meeting so both the parent and student can meet me and see if they’re interested in lessons! Then I will have the student go through things they already know on guitar for me to get a good idea of where they’re at.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Music theory lessons for the past year and a half. 8 years total of playing guitar
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I currently offer 30 minute lessons, 45 minute lessons, ans 1 hour lessons. Extra charge if the student is more than an hour away.
How did you get started teaching?
I have such a huge passion for music I want to help others especially at a young age guided in the right direction. I have always been curious about music and how things worked what notes made up what chords, the different keys, etc. I have been taking music theory lessons this past year and it has helped me grow as a musician in so many great ways. Teaching will only help me grow and share my passion
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students ages ranging from 4-13
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Make sure you let the student feel out the teacher before proceeding with lessons. The relationship between the teacher and student needs to be comfortable and open.
