Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I am exclusively an abstract artist. I encourage a four week commitment from new clients, with a reduced rate, in order to teach a foundation on color theory, types of painting tools and brushes, canvasses, and a brief overview of abstract art. By the second lesson, the new student will begin to explore using various brushes and tools to "play" with paint.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
High school and college art classes. More than 10 years of painting art on walls, faux finishes, decorative painting, art and murals on residential and commercial facilities. Nearly five years of abstract art painting.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Introductory rate for 4 hour-long weekly lessons: $75.00 upfront fee.
Hourly rate: $25.00
How did you get started teaching?
I have been teaching various skill sets to people for many years, from life skills, to Spanish language, to sewing, to painting. I have a unique skill to encourage the individualistic, creative exploration by new students.
What types of students have you worked with?
Teenagers, adults, seniors.
