About
I am an Outsider Artist that is completely self-taught, with my childhood influence being my father, who is a professional woodcarver and sculptor. My technique focuses on learning to see color shadows, not details, and build using our eyes. Currently, my studio is full of mural canvases and abstract folk art, which I would love to teach you how to do!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like them to pick something that interests them when choosing an image or a technique.
I am a patient and encouraging instructor; everyone is an artist. To compare the process of finding joy in your creation and your creativity is the definition of being An Artist. It doesn't matter what others assign to you in their opinion. Art is your joy to express and share with the world <3
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I grew up under an extremely strict artist father, who insisted that my technique was everything. It influenced me into not giving up and learning to see the world as I see it.
I have maintained an ongoing art studio since my return to New York in 2006; it was the part time work that sustained me through achieving my college education to the post graduate level. My studio has completed commissions and mentored other artists in their creative journey. I have an off and on relationship with teaching local Paint and Sip events here in South Carolina and formerly in New York. I am currently designing an online painting course that will be featured in my Patreon subscription tiers.
