Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Learning about the player is crucial in order to work a plan for that player. All players are different and have different needs according to level and skills.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
US SOCCER C licensed.
How did you get started teaching?
I have always loved to play soccer and I also loved to teach youth soccer. I got started coaching my son's 8U recreational soccer team. I loved spending time with him and teaching him all I know about soccer.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all types of students as young as 3years of age and as old as 24 years of age. All levels are welcome, even if you never kicked a soccer ball before.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I had a student that was struggling kicking the ball. With time and hard work my student was able to improve her kicking the ball. Just seeing my student's face with happiness after the improvement, it gave me the most rewarding feeling as a coach. Believe in yourself and with hard work you can achieve great things.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure you feel comfortable with your teacher. Hire a teacher that provides an environment where mistakes are encouraged.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Be clear on what you would like to work on. Don't be afraid to ask questions when you don't understand something. Ask as many questions as possible in order to build a good relationship with your coach.
