I am a Suzuki trained violinist with 18 years of public school teaching experience. The Suzuki method was developed in Japan by Dr. Shinichi Suzuki. He believed that children should learn to play an instrument as they are learning spoken language. Throughout my career as a public educator, I have tried to hold on to the idea that my job is to create a nurturing environment where students can hear and create music on their own. I am passionate about teaching and sharing the gift of music with my students. I will start students as young as 3 years old.
