I have been teaching drawing and painting to all levels for almost 20 years. I am an award winning painter with my own studio in Hillsborough. I teach all medias and am patient and fun!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We discuss their goals, I ask them to have a photo they would like to work from and we start where they need to start.
if they are a put beginner, we start with the basics and work our way up. If they have some experience, we start where they are comfortable.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BFA from Maryland Institute College of Art , a top 10 art school. I have been teaching middle and high school art for almost 20 years. I have been teaching adults at Art Center and Durham Arts Center as well as workshops for 15 years.

Yes, $50/hr.
How did you get started teaching?
After my children started school, I worked in many various jobs painting murals, furniture and eventually teaching art.
