I love helping students discover and accomplish their goals. Each student has a personally designed "curriculum " for learning.
I teach at my home studio, but I am also set up for online lessons as well. Our studio has an app that we use for tracking lesson assignments, practice, communication, interactive activities and more.
As well as teaching, I am also still active in several bands.
Theory is incorporated into lesso s as well as available separately. .

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Meet and greet with parent and student (or just the student if adult). Interact, and usually do a short lesson to see what the response is.

Current fee: $25 – 30 min. lesson; $35 – 45 min. lesson; $44 – 60 min. lesson
2nd child - $44 – both 30 min. lessons
3rd child - $64 – three 30 min. lessons
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching while in college and have continued since. I have taken a few short breaks at various seasons in my life, but have gone back to teaching. I love it.
What types of students have you worked with?
Children through Adult
New, returning, the "want to's", the "Mother is making me's", the specialty learners (like jazz, improv, etc.) fast learners, slow learners, special learners
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
With the Covid-19 pandemic - getting my studio switched to online lessons and being able to continue teaching. All but 2 students tried the online and all continued.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Feel free to ask questions. Talk about what you want to learn, how you learn best. Definitely let the teacher know if there are learning disabilities. A lot of us have taken the time to learn to work with various disabilities. It makes it much easier if we know upfront, instead of trying to figure it out.
