About this pro

I've been coaching and training in the Raleigh area for over 10 years.

I'm a NAYES member and Licensed USA basketball coach.

What gets me excited is seeing the progression in my clients. That's why I do this. Theres nothing more satisfying than seeing someone do something you knew they had the potential to do... but lacked the skills or confidence to do it.

I'm a lifelong basketball fan. I enjoyed watching and playing the game when I was younger. I translate those experiences and the knowledge I gained playing the game into my coaching and training. I can see it in a child's eyes when they can tell they are getting better. That makes them want to work even harder. That's what I like about training.

Coach Chris was great with my son. He's just starting out but we can already see improvement.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Typically I do an evaluation session for new clients to assess their skill level, unless the are just starting out. Then I work with the parents to create a training strategy for their player.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

My experience comes from playing competively at the High School Level & College Level.  I played the point guard position and was always a leader on the floor. All my coaches said I'd make a good coach someday.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Sessions are $50/hour.

I do offer a 10 session prepaid bundle for $350 as well.

I dont advertise it... but I do offer a 5 session prepaid bundle for $225 also.

How did you get started teaching?

I started in the military with coaching 3rd graders in the military family league on my base and fell in love. Watching the kids progress was the greatest fulfillment for me. Eventually I moved up to middle school aged kids, then High School. Once I got into the High School aged kids, I noticed a serious lack of fundamental skills at that level. So I started training middle school aged kids for free. Eventually my middle school aged students became HS students so that's how I started training HS students.

What types of students have you worked with?

I've worked with the full spectrum of player... from middle school age beginners through advanced level high school players.
