You want to make better photographs. I love teaching,. Our focus is on your projects, and improving how you see, compose and curate your vision.
1) Working closely together, we talk about your needs. We design visual projects using your with your digital camera, iPhone or digital camera. You get support and encouragement for your work. I consult closely with you on your ideas, giving feedback, coaching, tips and resources. We connect by phone, and on social media.
2) We'll discuss topics: gear, lighting, portfolio, web photography, composition, marketing, web presence including Insta, FB, Twitter.
3) I enjoy working with students, and have been teaching photography for 25 years. I attend workshops and upgrade my own skills and gear. I'm an Adobe Certified Expert, teach PS and LR, and publish a fine art photo eZine.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We build success with focused steps and exercises. First, we discuss your skills and abilities and ways to progress. We make a specific plan. Creating photo experiences in nature, portrait, landscape, fashion, macro or lighting, we take your vision to a higher level.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a masters degree, have taught at University of Colorado 5 years, and have been teaching photography online for 15 years to students worldwide.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Consultation is free for the first meeting by phone. Lessons start at $20 per session with some discounts for beginners and younger photographers.
How did you get started teaching?
I was an assistant professor in the Design Deparment of Colorado University, teaching photography and design.
What types of students have you worked with?
Children, adults in adventure photo workshops, urban professionals, stay at home Dads and Moms, people from countries all over the world.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
We had a birding photo adventure in SE USA. We had a photography walk in Saint Augustine. I taught a conference hall in Melbourne Florida on creative photography.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
See if you like the teacher first, and see if the teacher listens, empathizes and understands your needs.

What are my goals and what skills do I want to learn.
