Personal Art Lessons
About
I provide a personal setting for learning and creating art. I allow my students to use any medium they desire. Bring your own supplies or have me provide them for you. Main mediums include, acrylic paint, oil paint, all drawing media, digital media, photography, sculpture, and henna.
Teaching people gives me a chance to re-learn some things about my own process, while teaching someone on a basic level for their own personal growth. It feels very good to help people learn something I am also passionate about.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
1. Talk with new student before we actually meet to learn what their interests are, skill level, and if they will bring their own materials or if I need to provide them.
2. When we meet at my studio, I will provide an atmosphere that is optimal for the chosen medium. Sessions usually last 2-3 hours. 1 on 1 lessons.
3. Good background music is optional.
4. During the process of making, I will provide slight critique and suggestions for acheiving a desired piece of art.
5. Finished work will be properly fixed, and suggestions will be made on how to display the work if desired.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently finishing a Bachelor in Fine Arts with a concentration in sculpture, at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. I have learned many mediums during my college career and have continued to practice them. I am also the President of the UNO Art Club.

How did you get started teaching?
I started by teaching my friends, then I started doing workshops with a friend of mine who owns a studio large enough for multiple students.
What types of students have you worked with?
All ages and skill levels.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently taught a group of women how to do Henna tattoos and we started selling our services at local events and artists markets.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Talk on the phone before meeting so you can see if you can even understand their ability to talk about their expertise. If they sound knowledgable, book them. If they dont sound knowledgable or helpful, look elsewhere.
