About
I focus on teaching students how to express themselves through the guitar with a heavy emphasis on creating music from the first lesson; giving students the tools and musical theory they need to create their own music at a pace that's tailored to each individual's learning style.
I first picked up the guitar at age eleven and began taking lessons from a classically trained pianist. From the first day I learned a chord I knew this is what I wanted to do. After studying under a variety of guitar instructors I knew I could provide a different kind of instruction catered to students looking to create music and express themselves through the instrument. Music theory allows us to create music easily but I believe it can be taught in a fun way that's applicable and simple from day one.
There's nothing better than giving people the tools to express themselves through their own music.
Sharing the joy of music with people is one of the most rewarding activities one can do in this world. Seeing a student achieve their goals on an instrument is priceless.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
At the first lesson, I ask the student to write down any songs they'd like to learn and any goals they have for the instrument. I look over the list and assess what areas the student needs to work on. We will then listen to the students list of songs and talk about what parts of the music are of interest to them. We'll begin breaking down what makes up the music students enjoy so they can start creating their own songs and melodies from the first lesson!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I first picked up the guitar at age eleven and have been playing ever since, studying under numerous guitar instructors of various styles. I have taken all I have learned in the past decade and a half of playing and compiled it into easy to understand lessons that focus on creating our own music from the very beginning.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My beginners guitar course which requires little to zero musical experience runs $25 for a 45 minute lesson. Inquire for specialized or more advanced classes. Prices may be adjusted for travel distance. Inquire for a quote!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
In a year where would you like to be with the instrument? What about five years from now? Having a long term goal on the instrument we can work towards makes learning the instrument far more rewarding.
