Griffin Photography

Dave Griffin has been a resident of south Jersey all of his life, and has had a lifelong passion with photography. At an early age Dave knew that he wanted to become a photographer, as a young man he spent hours studying the top photographers in the world, sparking the lure of travel and excitement of photojournalism, which has become a lifelong pursuit. Without the benefit of formal photography schooling, Dave secured a job shooting freelance for local media outlets in south Jersey in 1978 covering local high school sports, as well as Atlantic City Boxing, Philadelphia professional and college sporting events. It wasn't long before his dreams of photographing and traveling to faraway places took over and lead to climbing mountains in Africa in 1984, and Europe in 1986 , running the London Marathon in 1986, and bartending in Amsterdam in 1987, and spending many years working in the commercial fishing industry, all this was done with his camera close by his side.

Dave continues to be a passionate student of light, and photography, and is now teaching photography to elementary and middle school children in various afterschool programs in Cumberland County.

Dave brings the observant eye of a photojournalist, the elegance of a portraitist and the vision of an artist to all of his work. His images are in high demand for his wedding, commercial, editorial and portrait work.
