Staten Island Emergency Medical Training Center

Staten Island Emergency Medical Training Center (SIEMT), based in Staten Island, NY, has delivered emergency healthcare education since 1976. As one of the oldest New York State Department of Health EMS Course Sponsors and an Authorized Training Center for the American Heart Association, the National Association of EMTs, the American Red Cross, and the American Safety and Health Institute, the center serves the New York City Metropolitan and Tri-State Area.

SIEMT offers EMT certification programs; AHA courses including CPR, BLS, ACLS, and PALS; first aid and AED; NAEMT courses; Stop the Bleed; and continuing education for healthcare professionals and the public. The center also provides New York State Department of Criminal Justice Services initial and annual in-service Security Guard training and emergency preparedness education.

Training is delivered at its Staten Island classrooms or onsite for organizations. Clients include hospitals, urgent care centers, nursing schools, private schools, the NYC Department of Education, and skilled nursing facilities. Supported by hundreds of certified instructors, SIEMT has trained more than 20,000 EMTs and helps connect graduates with employment opportunities in EMS.
